How to reach Patnitop
Patnitop is located on the Jammu Srinagar Highway NH 1 on the way from Jammu to Srinagar. Patnitop is located at a height of over 2000 meters above sea level and the distance from Jammu to Patnitop is 110 Kms. Patnitop is located amidst lush green and tall Deodar and Pine trees and the amazing greenery and weather of Patnitop fills you with excitement and immense joy.
Patnitop is the perfect weekend destination for the people of Punjab, Himachal and Jammu Kashmir. The serene and enchanting natural beauty of the place with polution free environment is truly mesmerising at Patnitop.
Patnitop is also a perfect place for trekking and for adventure excursions. Jammu & Kashmir Tourism has many hotels and huts in Patnitop which are well maintained and reasonable too. Summers are cool and you can beat the heat at Patnitop during summer vacations. In the winters you can enjoy the snowfall at patnitop.
Frequent buses ply between Jammu bus stand to Patnitop and also from Srinagar to Patnitop. Shared Taxis can also be hired from Jammu to Patnitop. Taxis are also available from Katra to Patnitop and from Udhampur to Patnitop as well
